Murray Milford Hutt
We the family of Murray Hutt regret to announce his passing on May 29, 2018 at the Cove Guest Home. Surrounded by family, he passed peacefully from this world.
Murray was born June 28, 1925 on Tankook Island to Denzel and Amanda (Cross) Hutt.
Murray proudly served as a Merchant Marine during WW11 and continued his working life on the sea as a fisherman for many years. Upon retirement Murray became a landlubber spending many enjoyable hours playing cards, darts, and ice fishing with his dear friend Hector Murphy.
Left to mourn his passing are his children Bill (Dale), Louisbourg; Joe (Kathy), Alberta; Gladys, Sydney; Keith (Nancy), New Brunswick; and Faith Chaves, Catalone; step-children Carol (Jerry) MacNeil, Sydney; and Cathy Morrison, Calgary; siblings Gordon, Louisbourg; Virginia, Halifax.Also left to mourn,his companion for many years, Mary Florian, grandchildren and great-grandchildren too numerous to name.
Including his parents, Murray was predeceased by his loving wife Anne Marie (Morrison) Hutt, brothers Peter, Lloyd (Bud) and Gerald (Bob); step-children Donna, Debbie, Dougie and Patricia.
Special thanks to the loving and gentle care given to Murray by the wonderful staff of Orchard Unit at the Cove Guest Home.
Cremation has taken place and a memorial service to celebrate Murray’s life will be held on Wednesday, June 6th at 11am in the Chant’s Funeral Home Chapel, 564 Alexandra Street, Sydney. Donations in Murray’s memory can be made to the Cove Guest Home.
