It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Trudie Babineau at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital on July 10, 2018. She was the daughter of the late Ruby and Harold Chappell, Tidnish Nova Scotia. Trudie will be remembered as the life of the party. It was not uncommon to hear her listening to Johnny Cash and to be dancing with her fellow residents. Trudie took pride in her jobs at both the Breton Ability Centre’s Boutique and the Hampton Inn. She is survived by her sisters, Gloria (Ernest) Miller, Linda (Larry) Embree, and Elizabeth Goodwin. She was predeceased by her brother, Wallace. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Chant’s Funeral Home. A service in remembrance of Trudie will be help at Chant’s Funeral Home on Monday July 16th at 2 p.m. Those wishing to make donations in Trudie’s memory can do so to the charity of your choice.
